Frequently Asked Questions

Considering a custom engagement ring, a bespoke commission, or a jewelry redesign with Gemma Club? Here are answers to the questions we hear most often from private clients in Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, New York City, and around the world.

  • How does the bespoke design process work?

Every bespoke project starts with a private consultation, where Elina Bromberg learns about your vision, budget, and timeline. From there, she sketches concepts, sources or evaluates stones, and refines the design with you until it's ready to be made. Because pieces are designed and made by hand, most bespoke commissions take several weeks to a few months depending on complexity.

  • Can you redesign my heirloom?

Yes. Jewelry redesign, or "upcycling," is one of Elina's specialties — transforming an unworn ring, loose stones, or an outdated setting into a piece you'll actually wear. Simply send photos of your existing piece for an initial consultation, and Elina will discuss options for reimagining it.

  • Do you work with clients outside Florida and New York?

Yes. While Elina is based between Palm Beach County and New York City, Gemma Club serves a worldwide clientele. Consultations can be conducted remotely, and private appointments outside standard hours can be arranged for international and out-of-state clients.

  • How long does a custom ring take?

Timelines vary based on design complexity and stone sourcing, but most custom engagement rings take several weeks from initial consultation to completion. Elina will provide a specific estimate once your design and stone selection are finalized.

  • Do you source specific diamonds or gemstones on request?

Yes. Sourcing rare and collectible diamonds, emeralds, and sapphires is a core part of Gemma Club's work. If you're looking for a specific stone — for a bespoke piece or your own collection — Elina and buyer Daniela Scott can source it on your behalf.

  • What is Gemma Club and how do I join?

Gemma Club membership offers private clients access to exclusive events, curated travel experiences, and private education around diamonds and fine gemstones. Membership is offered to clients as an extension of an existing relationship with Elina — reach out to learn more about how to join.

  • Do you offer appraisals or insurance guidance?

Elina can provide guidance on appraisals for pieces designed or redesigned through Gemma Club, and can advise on documentation you may need for insurance purposes. Reach out during your consultation to discuss your specific piece.

  • What if I don't have a design in mind yet?

That's completely normal, and most bespoke and custom engagement clients start exactly there. Elina's consultation process is built to help you arrive at a design together, starting from your budget, your story, and whatever inspiration you do have — even if that's just a color or a feeling rather than a finished idea.
